In this quieter environment of the Work Training Center, there are 10 teaching stations. At each station, clients have the chance to learn targeted work skills taught by LOGAN Industries staff members, using vocational curriculum developed at the University of Wisconsin. The vision for the Work Training Center involves inviting others—employers and people employed in the community—to offer mock interviews, discuss appropriate dress and hygiene for the workplace, and help clients improve communication skills.

Brenda Kulp, Employment Services Manager, is excited about the opportunities that will open up to clients through their involvement in the Work Training Center. According to Brenda, the training environment will help clients gain “more understanding of real world work expectations and how to achieve personal work goals.”  She sees the Work Training Center as intertwining two important programs—LOGAN Industries and Community Employment—to better benefit clients so they can progress in their skills and ultimately have more employment options.
