A fresh, new look for an old entryway

Rain, sleet, snow, hail, slush: we have it all in the Midwest. Entering and exiting the east doors at LOGAN Industries, clients have had to endure the elements as their caregivers assist them in and out of their vans, busses and cars.

It was clear that an awning was needed to help protect them—many use walkers and wheelchairs—as they went to and from the LOGAN Industries building.

Thankfully, the Robert P. & Clara I. Milton Fund came through with a grant to purchase a new awning for the east entryway. The Miltons established their foundation to fund programs and projects serving vulnerable senior citizens. Because many of our clients are seniors, we have been able to apply to the Fund, administered by the Community Foundation of St. Joseph County.

Over the years, LOGAN has received several Milton grants to make necessary modifications to our facility and enhancements to our programs.

Perhaps Mother Nature will give us a well-deserved break by granting decent weather. But, even if she does decide to throw something less than desirable our way, there will now be protection for the many seniors who come each day to the LOGAN Industries facility.
